About The Event
The entire Luzon island has been placed under extended "Enhanced Community Quarantine" by President Rodrigo R. Duterte due to the CoVid-19 outbreak. He also declared a State of Calamity for a period of 6 months throughout the Philippines. He was granted Emergency Powers by the Philippine Legislature under the Republic Act No. 11469 (or "Bayahihan to Heal as One Act") to address the State of Public Health Emergency.
Many establishments were required to suspend operations or operate under either a skeletal workforce or on work-from-home arrangements.
Businesses are being forced by the circumstances to retrench their employees, either permanently or temporarily, and/or to suspend or close down their operations, either totally or partially, considering that the economic and financial forecasts are bleak.
Learn about the legal requirements, and how to compute and save on the mandatory separation pay.
