About The Event

The entire Luzon island has been placed under extended "Enhanced Community Quarantine" by President Rodrigo R. Duterte due to the CoVid-19 outbreak. He also declared a State of Calamity for a period of 6 months throughout the Philippines. He was granted Emergency Powers by the Philippine Legislature under the Republic Act No. 11469 (or "Bayahihan to Heal as One Act") to address the State of Public Health Emergency.

Many establishments were required to suspend operations or operate under either a skeletal workforce or on work-from-home arrangements.

Businesses are being forced by the circumstances to retrench their employees, either permanently or temporarily, and/or to suspend or close down their operations, either totally or partially, considering that the economic and financial forecasts are bleak.

Learn about the legal requirements, and how to compute and save on the mandatory separation pay.

Join us in an online learning event (webinar) on the Law & Jurisprudence on Reduction of Personnel and Closure or Suspension of Business (Permanent and Temporary Layoff Law) as we wait out this extended "lockdown" and practice "strict social distancing" to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus contagion.

This webinar is hosted and facilitated by Atty. PoL Sangalang and Atty. Marvyn Gaerlan, co-founders of the Sangalang & Gaerlan, Business Lawyers.

It will run on:
