About The Event

The entire Luzon island has been placed under "Enhanced Community Quarantine" by President Rodrigo R. Duterte due to the CoVid-19 outbreak. He also declared a State of Calamity for a period of 6 months throughout the Philippines. He was granted Emergency Powers by the Philippine Legislature under the Republic Act No. 11469 (or "Bayahihan to Heal as One Act") to address the State of Public Health Emergency.

Many establishments were required to suspend operations or operate under work-from-home arrangements.

RA 11165 or the Telecommuting Act governs the relationship between employers and telecommuting employees.

However, not all work-from-home workers are telecommuting employees. Some are field personnel. Some are paid based on results. Others are freelancers.

Learn how to hire, pay, control and fire telecommuting employees, field personnel, workers paid by result, and freelancers.

Join us in an online learning event (webinar) on the law and best practices of work-from-home arrangements as we wait out this "lockdown" and practice "strict social distancing" to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus contagion.

This webinar is hosted and facilitated by Atty. PoL Sangalang and Atty. Marvyn Gaerlan, co-founders of the Sangalang & Gaerlan, Business Lawyers.
